Florence & the Machine cântă „Stand By Me” în trailer-ul jocului video „Final Fantasy XV”
Florence and the Machine a înregistrat un cover după cunoscuta piesă a lui Ben E. King, „Stand By Me”. Noua versiune a melodiei poate fi ascultată în trailer-ul jocului video „Final Fantasy XV”, anunță InfoMusic.ro.
Florence and the Machine și-a pus amprenta pe una dintre bijuteriile lui Ben E. King – piesa „Stand By Me”. Lansată inițial în 1961 și inclusă pe coloana sonoră a filmului cu același nume, clasica melodie ajunge prin intermediul acestui cover la un nou segment de public. Ne referim aici la fanii jocului video „Final Fantasy”, coverul Florence and the Machine fiind inclus pe coloana sonoră a acestuia.
„Întotdeauna am considerat că Final Fantasy este mitic, frumos și epic. (…) Stand By Me este una dintre cele mai bune piese ale tuturor timpurilor așa că nu prea ai cum să o îmbunătățești, poți doar să o interpretezi în maniera ta. Am încercat să aduc piesa în lumea muzicii Florence And The Machine și în universul Final Fantasy”, a declarat solista Florence Welch.

Stand By Me is one of the greatest songs probably of all time so I was really glad that the game had chosen this song to do. We really wanted to make it our own, bringing it into the world of Florence + The Machine and the world of Final Fantasy XV.
I’ve always seen Final Fantasy as a beautiful and creative game so I don’t think I could have worked with another video game. In some ways the landscape of Final Fantasy and my own internal landscape seemed to fit quite well, it’s mythical and beautiful and epic.
I was listening to Classic FM and there was a whole 2 hour programme about classical music in videogames. It was so inspiring and a whole scope of music that I didn't know about.
